I found this little fella during the Varsity game and I named him Edward. But then I asked all of the other girls how you could tell the difference between a boy frog and a girl frog. We couldn't figure out how so I decided that if it was a girl her name was to be Bella. And THEN one of the girls informed me that frogs can change their gender (surrre?) so in the end.. We came out with Bedwarda!!

Forming a wall

Destiny: Is it bleeding!?

Anderson: Lemme see... OH MY GOSH! YES! YOUR GOING TO DIE!
Destiny: WHAT?? DON'T LIE TO ME COACH!

We played our first game in the Raytown South Tournament today. Losing to Raytown 2-1, we kept out heads up and are preparing ourselves for tomorrow's game against Raytown South.

These girls are great and I love ALL of them! No matter what is said to each other on the field during a game (we'll just keep that out for now.. :) ) we're always there in the end to pick each other up.

Common Sense. RIP.

"Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.
"Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
"His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
"Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
"It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
"Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
"Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
"Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
"Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility and by his son, Reason.
"He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers: I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame and I'm A Victim.
"Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone."

Certainly gave ME something to think about! :)

Rain Rain.. Go Away

The rain seems to be imitating my mood. This weeks forecast calls for cloud cover and rain fall. I have three soccer games this week, and little patience for nasty weather. So it better be good to me those few hours I have to spend outside. With the constant, increasing pains in my stomach and my right knee's complete disregard to my playing time.. I'm a little edgy.

29 days of school left.. I CAN BARELY STAND IT! :)

Good luck Lady Falcons Soccer!

Another One.. and a Question

So this weekend we had another music festival. But THIS time it was state large group festival. Basically, all the major choirs from schools all over the state came to Park Hill High School and competed. In Staley's first choir that sang (Falcon Chorale.. our larger choir. I am in this one.) we received a 2.. which was kind of a bummer. But then our Chamber Choir sang (I am in this one also) received a 1. We were the very last school to find out our ratings.. but it was well worth the wait!

And onto my question. Well its not really a question. It's more of... A plea for advice. :)
I have this friend. And he/she is not doing so hot right now. This person was a really good friend of Megan's.. my friend that passed away a few months ago. And they are really having a hard time, and it's hitting them extremely hard. They won't go see a counselor, and all of the hurt that they've been covering up for the past few months is starting to leak out and it's becoming too much for them to bare. They pray and read their scriptures all the time, but they just aren't receiving the comfort they need. And I don't know what to do. I'm in need of some good advice.
